Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer, which is prepared from natural cellulose through alkalization and etherification reactions. HEC has excellent thickening, suspending, emulsifying, film-forming and water-retention properties, and is widely used in fields such as coatings, building materials, daily chemicals, oil exploitation, and pharmaceuticals.
