Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) is a water - soluble anionic polysaccharide derivative. It is obtained through chemical modification (carboxymethylation reaction) of natural cellulose, such as cotton and wood pulp. It has excellent water solubility, thickening property, stability and emulsifying property, and can form a transparent colloidal solution in water.
Product Introduction
Properties and Application Fields of CMC

Application Fields
Food industry: As a thickener, stabilizer, suspending agent and emulsifier, it is used to improve the taste, texture and stability of food. It can also be used to produce low-fat food and health food.
Pharmaceutical industry: It is used as a drug carrier to improve bioavailability and reduce adverse reactions. It can also be used to make sustained-release drugs, hemostatic agents and pharmaceutical additives.
Paper industry: As an adhesive for paper coatings, it can improve paper strength, water resistance, folding resistance and printability. It can also be used to produce special paper and non-woven fabrics.
Coating industry: As a stabilizer and thickener, it can enhance the adhesion, hiding power and weather resistance of coatings, and is suitable for water-based coatings and functional coatings.

Specifications of Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC)
The specifications of carboxymethyl cellulose are mainly reflected in aspects such as molecular weight, viscosity, and product form. The following are typical parameters :
Molecular weight: CMC products with different molecular weights are suitable for different scenarios. For example, Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (MW 250000) is one of the common specifications, with a molecular weight of 250,000, and it is often used as a thickener, paste, and barrier agent.
Viscosity: According to application requirements, CMC has various viscosity specifications, such as 400 viscosity, 4000 viscosity, 20,000 viscosity, etc. Products with different viscosities have differences in thickening effects.

Product Packaging
I. Packaging Materials and Structure
Conventional Packaging Materials
Inner Packaging: Food-grade/Pharmaceutical-grade polyethylene (PE) plastic bags, with moisture-proof and dust-proof properties to ensure the product is free from contamination during storage.
Outer Packaging:
Industrial Grade: Kraft paper composite bags or polypropylene (PP) woven bags, with the outer layer printed with product name, specifications, batch number, etc., and a bearing capacity of ≥25kg.
Food/Pharmaceutical Grade: Three-layer composite paper bags (kraft paper + PE film + aluminum foil) to enhance light and moisture resistance, complying with GMP packaging standards.
Special Scenario Packaging
Moisture-Proof Packaging: For high-humidity regions, silica gel desiccants are added to the inner bag, and sealed iron barrels are used for outer packaging (suitable for large specifications over 50kg).
Explosion-Proof Packaging: Cushioning bubble film or pearl cotton is added during transportation to prevent extrusion and damage, suitable for long-distance logistics.
