Cigarette filter rods, also known as filter core rods, are products used to filter harmful substances produced by tobacco combustion. They are usually made of filter paper, cellulose acetate or other materials. They are used to filter harmful substances produced when smoking cigarettes and reduce the impact of smoking on human health. Domestic filter rods are mainly divided into traditional filter rods and special filter rods. Cellulose acetate tow is a clean, soft, tasteless, and odorless product made from acetate flake. It is a biobased and environmentally friendly product which is derived from natural wood pulp.

Cellulose acetate tow is a thermoplastic cellulose fiber with excellent absorption characteristics. Cellulose acetate tow is manufactured from wood pulp and is compostable and degradable.
