Cocamide MEA, or cocamide monoethanolamine, is a solid, off-white to tan compound, often sold in flaked form. The solid melts to yield a pale yellow viscous clear liquid. It is a mixture of fatty acid amides which is produced from the fatty acids in coconut oil when reacted with ethanolamine.
Cocamide MEA is an amazing ingredient that has properties very similar to Cocamide DEA. However, it is considered safer than Cocamide DEA. This ingredient appears as a solid substance that has an off-white color. It functions as a thickener, emulsifier and a foaming agent. It greatly improves the efficiency of products and may be found in many formulations such as cleansers, body washes, conditioners and scrubs.

Product Parameters
- Product name:Cocamide MEA surfactant
- CAS number:68140-00-1
- MF:C14H29NO2
- Density:1.08-1.09 g/cm3
Product Introduction
At room temperature, it is a white to light yellow flaky solid. It is a widely used nonionic surfactant, whose main characteristics are thickening and foam stabilizing effects.
Use

It is a main component of detergents, wetting agents and emulsifiers, has anti-rust effects, and is an important raw material for preparing metal cleaners. When used in combination with anionic surfactants, it has the performance of stabilizing foam. When used together with soap, the resistance to hard water is improved. It can also be used as a component of oiling agents for synthetic fibers such as polypropylene.
