Production process of acetate fiber tow
- Production process of acetate fiber bundle:
Raw material preparation: Natural wood pulp or cotton linters are used as raw materials.
Acetification: Cellulose is acetified to make cellulose acetate sheets.
Spinning: After dissolving cellulose acetate, continuous fiber bundles are formed through spinning process.
Curling: Curl the fiber bundles to increase their surface area and filtration performance.
Drying: Dry the curled fiber bundles for subsequent processing
What are the uses of diacetate fiber tow
Diacetate fiber tow is a polymer material made from natural cellulose (wood, cotton linters, etc.) through acetification to diacetate cellulose and spinning. This material has a Y-shaped single-filament cross-section structure and has excellent hygroscopicity, air permeability and adsorption properties. It is mainly used in the manufacture of cigarette filters and can effectively intercept harmful components in smoke. Its chemical properties are stable, but the ester bond is easily destroyed by strong acids and alkalis. It also has thermoplasticity and good processability.
