Diacetate fiber tow is a polymer material made from natural cellulose (wood, cotton linters, etc.) through acetification to diacetate cellulose and spinning. This material has a Y-shaped single-filament cross-section structure and has excellent hygroscopicity, air permeability and adsorption properties. It is mainly used in the manufacture of cigarette filters and can effectively intercept harmful components in smoke. Its chemical properties are stable, but the ester bond is easily destroyed by strong acids and alkalis. It also has thermoplasticity and good processability.

Production process of cellulose acetate tow:


Raw material preparation: Natural cellulose, such as wood pulp or cotton pulp, is used as raw material.
Acetification: Cellulose is reacted with acetic acid to produce cellulose acetate.
Spinning: After dissolving cellulose acetate, it is made into tow through spinning process.
Post-processing: Including curling, drying and other processes to achieve the desired shape and properties.

Production process
